Fast Financial Fixes Come With Way Too Much Regret.

Any way you make money fast, quick, or without risk -- there's a pretty solid guarantee that your actions are going to come back to haunt you.

When you're struggling to make ends meet and looking for options out of that frustration, you might think you want options that will kick in quickly.

But fast solutions are usually options where somebody else gets hurt -- and ultimately you pay the price. The same is true with anything easy, quick, or guaranteed.

Those sort of opportunities will leave you regretting the quick fix you thought you wanted.

Instead, take a moment and reframe your particular situation.

You probably don't need to solve all your entire financial problems right now. You just need to make progress towards that goal.

Reset your expectations so that you are comfortable solving your money problems slowly. And then get to work:

  1. Find some people in your local area who need help you can deliver and offer to freelance for them.
  2. Turn your particular hobby into a paying gig where you help other people in exchange for their consulting dollars.
  3. Look on Craigslist for job opportunities that you can accomplish when you're not already working for someone else.

There are plenty of people, all around you, who are reaching out, asking for help.

Maybe you need to learn a new skill so that you can be more billable.

Maybe you need to join a mentoring group or upgrade your friends so that you're in a better position to reap financial rewards.

Just know that solving your financial situation is going to take time. Which is why if you need more money you should start now. And skip all the easy or fast stuff.

Fast financial fixes come with way too much regret. And usually always at the worst possible time.
