It's Life or Death Whether You Realize It Or Not.

Commitment used to be easier to understand.

You got up when the sun came up in order to make it to the fields to tend to your crops. If it was planting season then you had a specific job to do.

A job that took you all day.

You had to make sure that the ground was tilled and that seeds were planted. Even though you already had food saved from the last harvest, it was important that you put in the work to plant new ones.

While you still had time.

The harvest season presented a whole new challenge.

You had a finite period of time to gather the results of your planting and pruning.

Before long, anything left on the plants will begin to rot. Making it unedible.

For a long time, the stakes were pretty clear. If you didn't plant and harvest, you died. Your actions had a generational impact. A fact that was clear in the form of people living and dying.

It was clear to see that a lack of commitment was deadly. To your dreams. And to your life.

Today it's a lot harder to see this direct connection between a lack of commitment and the sure destruction of your destiny.

You already have enough food to make sure that you don't go hungry -- let alone die.

You have enough money to survive, even if you need to cut back drastically for a while.

You're going to be okay. Whether you're committed or not. You're not going to starve.

It's your dream that is going to die. It's your destiny that is going to go unharvested.

Commitment is about you planting the seeds of effort and perseverance today.

  • It's about you doing what needs to be done when no one is watching or cheering you on.
  • It's about you staying focused and optimistic in spite of what seems like a never-ending struggle to get to where you want to be.

Don't let a lack of commitment be the reason why you remain unsuccessful. Fight to keep your dream alive.

Don't give up on yourself. Be committed.
