The Muscle Of Awesomeness.

Inspiration isn't it an accident. Staying positive isn't something you hope to do.

Your mindset is a choice, like anything else. It's a muscle that you have to develop.

Like any other muscle in your anatomy, it's not a mystery how it all works. What you flex the most become stronger. The habits that you exercise become your default reaction when you are tested.

Make no mistake, making the choice to have a healthy mindset isn't about living a life free of obstacles. Staying focused and positive and inspired doesn't mean that life goes exactly the way you want it to all the time.

Or even some of the time.

It simply means that you're making the choice -- a tough choice -- to deliberately focus on healthy, motivating thoughts. Your emotions are triggered by what you deliberately focus on.

If all you can think about are the pending problems in your future, then you are going to find yourself relentlessly discouraged and uninspired. But if you make the tough decision to believe that your best days are ahead, despite not knowing how it is all going to work out, you'll find yourself stumbling upon opportunities for greatness you hadn't noticed before.

Over time, you automatically come back to a core way of viewing the world. You have hope or you feel hopeless.

You believe that you can change things for the better or you believe that no matter what you do you're still going to get treated unfairly.

Those habits become burned into your psyche.

Your default reaction to what is going on around you becomes a subconscious activity you don't even think about.

But it should be something you're thinking about, especially if you're not getting the results you want in your life. If you're feeling stuck and miserable, beaten down and conquered, you probably just need a mindset change. You need to strengthen those mindset muscles.

It doesn't just work at the gym. It works in your mind as well.

What you exercise, becomes stronger.

Being inspired isn't about hoping that it happens. It's about creating a series of better practices that ensure you see the best possible outcomes in whatever situation you happen to be in.

Remember, inspiration is the one thing you lose just after you stop looking for it.

Stay strong. Practice healthier mindsets. Choose the light.
