Why Knowing More Isn't Making You Awesome.

Information doesn't lead to transformation. Just because you know more doesn't mean you'll be more. It doesn't mean you'll be any different than you are today.

Knowledge isn't the same as inspiration.

Ideas aren't the same as soul changing, life bending motivation.

That's where good people go wrong.

  • It's easy to think that if you knew one more thing that you would be more successful than you are right now. That's a lie. You don't need to know anything more than you know right now to get started.
  • It's natural to assume that there's something missing from your ideas that would instantly propel you a little bit faster towards where you want to be. That's a lie. No bit of knowledge is going to transform you.
  • When you're discouraged by your results, you can stop doing what you're doing because you assume it isn't getting you towards where you want to be. That's a lie. Doing something new probably won't work any better at all.

The truth is that knowing more doesn't automatically change your life.

It's just a ticket to the game. It puts you in the audience. You understand the language and the environment. You're keen on terms and nuance.

Transformation doesn't come from information -- it comes from commitment.

If you want your life to be different, then you have to commit to making it different. You can't "float a trial balloon" or attempt "some a/b testing". There's no room for trying something one time or "putting out feelers".

If you want your life to change, then you have to change it.

That starts with your personal commitment to doing whatever it takes until you get to where you want to be. It's really that simple.

Nothing changes until you change your intensity -- your commitment.

You have to be all in. Everyday. Committed. Willing to do the hard stuff.

Another webinar or game changing event can't help you more than you can help yourself right now.

There's nothing else you need to know to be committed. It's up to you.

How bad do you want it? Anything else you "need to know" -- it's probably just a lie.
