You Don't Need A Plan After All.

You don't need a plan. You need to start planning.

There's a pretty big difference between having an idea on paper and putting in the research necessary to turn that idea into the results you want for it.

Frankly, you can just Google "sales plan" or "business plan" or "marketing plan" and have a pretty good idea to start working from

The problem is that your search just turns up ideas that look good on paper.  And those types of plans don't get you far. It is planning that gets you where you want to be.

  • Planning is what allows you to see the potential obstacles in your way.
  • Planning is what shows you the timing needed for applying each of your tactics.
  • Planning is what defines your strategy and shapes your implementation.
  • Planning is what helps you find the tools and tactics that will help you most.
  • Planning is what provides you a powerful story to share with your connections.

Plans can't do that.

Especially a plan you just found via your favorite search engine.

It's your research and focus and determination that makes planning so powerful. It is your dedication to your own success that makes planning such a strong catalyst for achieving the result that you want.

A plan is just your hopes and dreams on paper. Planning comes with heart and soul.  It's that "extra something" that makes you powerful.

Take time each week and month for planning.

Look at where you are, where you want to be; and then think through the options. Think about what will work best for you. For your strengths. For your weaknesses.

Its okay to read someone else's plan. It might actually help you to Google for ideas. But, planning is something that you need to do for yourself.

You can't delegate, borrow, or copy your way to success.

Throw away your plan and start planning.
