Why We Do The Ridiculous Things We Do.
Ever notice how despite our best intentions we end up acting like idiots every once in a while.
It's like we snap.
We'll wearing the right clothes, saying the right works, mixing it up to the appropriate socially-acceptable levels.
We're doing everything that we're told that we should be doing:
- Not taking sides...
- Not shedding tears...
- Not trying too hard...
And this lifetime of training keeps us absolutely, wonderfully dissatisfied.
It's like we're alive but living asleep, completely right but horribly wrong.
And at some point, we can no longer take it.
We can no longer tolerate our mediocre existence.
And we snap.
And we find why we do what we do.
We find out who we were went to be.
Our whole lives we've been trying to figure this out, and then one day we know.
And here's the secret.
We do the ridiculous things that we do because that's all we really want to do.
All along, we didn't really:
- Want to be part of the crowd...
- Want to throw away our dreams...
- Want to let ego blind us...
We really wanted something quite a bit different.
We were just too concerned with not doing something ridiculous.
So, maybe it's time for you snap.
Maybe it's time for outrageously ridiculous behavior.
Maybe it's time for you to go do something that you always dreamed about but never had the nerve to do.
Come to think of it, that's not ridiculous at all.
