Damn That Last Straw….

At a time of critical failure we hear that a most recent activity was "the straw that broke the camel's back"... Like many people, I was constantly wondering how heavy that last straw could be... Is it made of lead? (it certainly feels that way....sometimes...) Is it any different that the rest of the straw? NO. Actually it's not... (it's no heavier than any other piece of straw already on the camel's back)

The truth is this:

"The last straw didn't break the camel's back.... The camel allowed his back to be broken by not shrugging off the straws that others kept piling up...." (DEWISM)

Sound like a day you might have recently? Sounds like quite a few of mine... I'm certainly not complaining. I just note that petty things do the most damage...

I really get pissed off by all the ridiculous b*llsh*t that trips up my vision and tricks me into doubting what I am passionate about...

And it's ALWAYS the small things... It's never the earth-shattering, "they-are-repoing-the house" matters that frustrate me...

Damn it I can certainly learn from the camel. If we allow the straw to pile up -- no matter how small each piece is -- it will eventually CRUSH us...

"SHAKE IT OFF!"

(...and yes... this post is out of left-field... just some thoughts born out of experience...)
