It goes without saying that we all get tired. We are human, and that's what humans do. So how is that we artfully compensate for the lack of focus and concentration from the fatigue of our pursuits.
"...any man's finest hour - his greatest fulfillment to all he holds dear - is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle - victorious"
Standing at the "top of the heap" take brains but it also takes heart. We somehow understand that in the sports arena, but we forget this many times in business when the hour is late or the task too hard.
We banter around excuses about "life not being fair". We talk about "working smarter not harder" when we aren't doing either.
Fighting fatigue is really about our pain/pleasure quotient.
Is it more pleasure to have our sleep and lose our goals? Is it more painful to be tired, but victorious?
"You've got to pay the price..."
